Araucaria Tit-Spinetail

Leptasthenura setaria

Least Concern

The Araucaria Tit-Spinetail is a tit-spinetail of scrub and undergrowth in Brazil and Argentina. A small, often rufous-toned bird, it skulks through dense undergrowth and tangles gleaning insects, its tail frequently held cocked. Fun fact: The family is named for the horneros, which build sturdy oven-shaped nests out of mud.
