Ash-browed Spinetail

Cranioleuca curtata

Least Concern

The Ash-browed Spinetail is a spinetail of scrub and undergrowth in Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. A small, often rufous-toned bird, it skulks through dense undergrowth and tangles gleaning insects, its tail frequently held cocked. Fun fact: The family is named for the horneros, which build sturdy oven-shaped nests out of mud.
