The Balearic Shearwater is a tubenose seabird of the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and nearby breeding islands. It ranges widely over the sea, using dynamic soaring or low gliding flight to find fish, squid, crustaceans, and carrion, and usually nests in burrows, crevices, or remote island colonies.
