The Bank Cormorant is a fish-eating waterbird of coastal and inland waters across the species' broad regional range. It dives from the surface to chase fish and aquatic prey, then often rests upright on rocks, posts, banks, or trees with wings held out to dry. Colonies usually form near productive coasts, lakes, rivers, or wetlands.
