Blue-winged Pitta

Pitta moluccensis

Least Concern

The Blue-winged Pitta is a pitta of mainland Southeast Asian forest, bamboo, and wooded edges. It forages on the forest floor in dense shade, flipping leaf litter for insects, worms, snails, and other small prey, and many pittas show bright plumage despite their secretive habits.
