The Brolga is a tall, elegant crane of Australia and southern New Guinea. It feeds by walking through marshes, wet meadows, fields, or open plains for roots, seeds, insects, and small animals. Pairs give loud carrying calls, and many cranes perform graceful bowing and leaping displays.
