Brown Cacholote

Pseudoseisura lophotes

Least Concern

The Brown Cacholote is a cacholote of dry woodland and scrub in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. A bold, vocal bird of dry woodland, it forages in cover and builds a massive stick nest. Fun fact: The family is named for the horneros, which build sturdy oven-shaped nests out of mud.
