Brown-headed Barbet

Psilopogon zeylanicus

Least Concern

The Brown-headed Barbet is a stout-billed canopy bird of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asian wooded country. It feeds heavily on figs and other fruit, also taking insects, and its ringing calls often reveal it before it is seen among leaves. Pairs nest in tree cavities that they excavate or reuse.
