Ceara Gnateater
Conopophaga cearae
Near ThreatenedThe Ceara Gnateater is a Near Threatened bird restricted to isolated patches of highland Atlantic forest in northeastern Brazil. Once treated as part of the Rufous Gnateater, it survives only in scattered mountain forests such as the Serra de Baturite. Fun fact: Its tiny, fragmented range across just a few mountain forests makes it vulnerable to further habitat loss.
