Eastern Woodhaunter

Automolus subulatus

Least Concern

The Eastern Woodhaunter is a woodhaunter of humid forests in Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. It searches mossy foliage and tangles in the forest mid-storey for insects, often with mixed flocks. Fun fact: Many members of this family build extraordinary nests, from mud ovens to huge stick castles and tunnels dug in earth banks.
