Merops apiaster

Least Concern

The European Bee-eater is a slim, colorful aerial hunter that catches bees, wasps, dragonflies, and other flying insects over Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and seasonal Eurasian breeding areas. It often perches in the open, beats larger prey against a branch, and nests in tunnels dug into banks, cliffs, or sandy ground.
