The Forest Owlet is an owl of central Indian dry deciduous forest fragments. It hunts mostly at dusk or night, using silent flight, strong talons, and sharp hearing to catch mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, or fish, and usually nests in cavities, cliffs, old nests, or sheltered hollows.
