The Gray-backed Storm-Petrel is a small storm-petrel of southern oceans and remote subantarctic breeding islands. It spends most of its life at sea, fluttering close to the waves to pick planktonic crustaceans and small fish from the surface, and nests in burrows or crevices on remote islands.
