Green-backed Robin

Pachycephalopsis hattamensis

Least Concern

The Green-backed Robin is a small Australasian robin that forages from low perches or the forest floor for insects and other small invertebrates in western New Guinea. It is generally resident, using local habitat year-round while shifting within its range as food and cover change. Fun fact: this batch connects several unusual songbird lineages, from cliff-nesting rockfowl to wetland donacobius and oxpeckers that forage on large mammals.
