The Guanay Cormorant is a fish-eating waterbird of the cold Humboldt Current coast of Peru and Chile. It dives from the surface to chase fish and aquatic prey, then often rests upright on rocks, posts, banks, or trees with wings held out to dry. Colonies usually form near productive coasts, lakes, rivers, or wetlands.
