Ivory-billed Woodcreeper

Xiphorhynchus flavigaster

Least Concern

The Ivory-billed Woodcreeper is a woodcreeper of humid forests in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. It hitches up tree trunks and along branches, propped on its stiff tail, probing bark and epiphytes for insects. Fun fact: Woodcreepers prop themselves on stiffened tail feathers to climb tree trunks, much as woodpeckers do.
