Japanese Bush Warbler

Horornis diphone

Least Concern

The Japanese Bush Warbler is a small, secretive warbler of Japan and nearby East Asian islands. It keeps close to dense grass, reedbeds, bamboo, or tangled undergrowth, where it picks insects and spiders from stems and leaves. Many are heard as sharp notes or rich songs before they are clearly seen.
