Javan Plover

Anarhynchus javanicus

Least Concern

The Javan Plover is a shorebird of Sundaland, including Java and the Malay Peninsula. It uses its bill, legs, and alert flight to feed on invertebrates, seeds, or small aquatic prey along coasts, mudflats, rivers, lakes, grasslands, or open ground; many shorebirds make impressive seasonal movements between breeding and non-breeding areas.
