The Lesser Kiskadee is a tyrant flycatcher of Amazon Basin and Guianan forests. It feeds mostly on insects captured by quick sallies, gleaning, or ground pounces, with some species also taking fruit. It is currently assessed as Least Concern, though intact habitat, connected woodland, and healthy insect populations remain important locally.
