Little Curlew

Numenius minutus

Least Concern

The Little Curlew is a shorebird of northeastern Asian breeding grounds and Australian wintering grasslands. It uses its bill, legs, and alert flight to feed on invertebrates, seeds, or small aquatic prey along coasts, mudflats, rivers, lakes, grasslands, or open ground; many shorebirds make impressive seasonal movements between breeding and non-breeding areas.
