Magellanic Penguin

Spheniscus magellanicus

Least Concern

The Magellanic Penguin is a flightless seabird of Patagonian coasts, the Falklands, and nearby South Atlantic and Pacific waters. It swims with powerful flipper-like wings, feeds mainly on fish, krill, or squid, and comes ashore or onto ice to breed in colonies. It is currently assessed as Least Concern, though healthy habitat and secure nesting or foraging sites still matter locally.
