The Maui Nukupuu is a finch of the Hawaiian Islands. It uses woodland, scrub, grassland, orchards, or montane forest depending on the species, feeding on seeds, buds, fruit, nectar, or small insects. Many have strong bills for cracking seeds or delicate bills for fruit and nectar.
