The Mountain Thornbill is a small active insectivore of heath, woodland, shrubland, or dry country in northeastern Queensland. It is usually resident, using dense cover or forest structure year-round and moving locally as food availability changes. Fun fact: many of these Australo-Papuan passerines are easier to detect by voice than by sight.
