The Pitta-like Ground-Roller is a terrestrial Madagascar roller of humid eastern forests of Madagascar. It spends much of its time on or near the forest floor, hunting insects, small reptiles, and other prey from low perches or leaf litter. It is currently assessed as Least Concern, though intact forest, woodland, and nesting sites remain important locally.
