Puno Antpitta
Grallaria sinaensis
Least ConcernThe Puno Antpitta is an antpitta of humid forests in Peru and Bolivia. A plump, almost tailless bird with long legs, it hops across the shaded forest floor and low understorey, pausing upright to search the leaf litter for insects, worms, and other small prey. Fun fact: Several antpittas have been coaxed into the open at forest feeding stations, where they come for earthworms.
