Red-faced Barbet

Lybius rubrifacies

Near Threatened

The Red-faced Barbet is an African barbet of East African savannas, bushland, and woodland. It uses stout bills to eat fruit, figs, insects, and other small food, and often nests in cavities excavated in dead wood or soft branches. It is not yet globally threatened, but declines, restricted range, or habitat pressure mean it needs watching.
