Rufous-breasted Leaftosser

Sclerurus scansor

Least Concern

The Rufous-breasted Leaftosser is a leaftosser of humid forests in Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. It hops on the shaded forest floor, flicking aside dead leaves with its bill to snatch hidden insects. Fun fact: The family is named for the horneros, which build sturdy oven-shaped nests out of mud.
