Least ConcernThe Rufous-capped Nunlet is a sit-and-wait nunlet of southwestern Amazonian forests of Bolivia, Peru, and Brazil. It watches from exposed or shaded perches, then darts out for insects, spiders, and small vertebrates, nesting in burrows or cavities depending on the species. It is currently assessed as Least Concern, though intact forest, woodland, and nesting sites remain important locally.
