Rufous-headed Ground-Roller

Atelornis crossleyi

Near Threatened

The Rufous-headed Ground-Roller is a terrestrial Madagascar roller of montane and humid forests of eastern Madagascar. It spends much of its time on or near the forest floor, hunting insects, small reptiles, and other prey from low perches or leaf litter. It remains fairly widespread but needs watching because habitat pressure or range limits could push it closer to threat.
