Short-tailed Antthrush

Chamaeza campanisona

Least Concern

The Short-tailed Antthrush is an antthrush of humid forests in Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador. A terrestrial bird, it walks deliberately across the forest floor with its short tail held cocked, probing the leaf litter for insects and often attending army-ant swarms. Fun fact: They are named for their habit of following army-ant swarms to snap up fleeing insects.
