Small Pratincole

Glareola lactea

Least Concern

The Small Pratincole is a shorebird of African, Middle Eastern, and South Asian riverbanks and open wetlands. It uses its bill, legs, and alert flight to feed on invertebrates, seeds, or small aquatic prey along coasts, mudflats, rivers, lakes, grasslands, or open ground; many shorebirds make impressive seasonal movements between breeding and non-breeding areas.
