The Socotra Cormorant is a fish-eating waterbird of Socotra and nearby Arabian Sea islands. It dives from the surface to chase fish and aquatic prey, then often rests upright on rocks, posts, banks, or trees with wings held out to dry. Colonies usually form near productive coasts, lakes, rivers, or wetlands.
