Western Woodhaunter

Automolus virgatus

Least Concern

The Western Woodhaunter is a woodhaunter of humid forests in Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Colombia. It searches mossy foliage and tangles in the forest mid-storey for insects, often with mixed flocks. Fun fact: Ovenbirds and woodcreepers form one of the most diverse bird families on Earth, with a remarkable variety of nests.
