The White-naped Crane is a tall, elegant crane of northeastern Asian wetlands and eastern Asian wintering grounds. It feeds by walking through marshes, wet meadows, fields, or open plains for roots, seeds, insects, and small animals. Pairs give loud carrying calls, and many cranes perform graceful bowing and leaping displays.
