Whitehead's Broadbill

Calyptomena whiteheadi

Least Concern

Whitehead's Broadbill is the largest of all broadbills, a stout green bird with black markings restricted to the mountain forests of northern Borneo. Endemic to Borneo's highlands, it feeds on fruit and large insects in the mossy canopy. Fun fact: At up to 170 grams it dwarfs its tiny African relatives, which weigh barely a tenth as much.
