Yellow-eared Barbet

Psilopogon australis

Least Concern

The Yellow-eared Barbet is a stout-billed canopy bird of Sundaland forest and wooded foothills. It feeds heavily on figs and other fruit, also taking insects, and its ringing calls often reveal it before it is seen among leaves. Pairs nest in tree cavities that they excavate or reuse.
