Blue-throated Piping-Guan

Blue-throated Piping-Guan

Pipile cumanensis

Least Concern

The Blue-throated Piping-Guan is an arboreal cracid of Amazonian and Orinoco forests of northern South America. It usually keeps to forest canopy and edges, feeding heavily on fruit and helping move seeds through tropical and subtropical forests. It remains comparatively widespread, but healthy forest and woodland still matter for keeping local populations secure.
