Buff-browed Chachalaca

Ortalis superciliaris

Least Concern

The Buff-browed Chachalaca is a noisy, social cracid of woodlands of eastern and central Brazil and nearby Paraguay. It moves through thickets, forest edges, and trees in pairs or small groups, feeding mainly on fruit, flowers, leaves, and other plant material. It remains comparatively widespread, but healthy forest and woodland still matter for keeping local populations secure.
