Dwarf Tinamou

Taoniscus nanus

Endangered

The Dwarf Tinamou is a tiny, secretive tinamou of Brazil's cerrado grasslands and open savannas. It depends on native grassland mosaics and is threatened by agricultural conversion and habitat fragmentation. Fun fact: It is also called the Least Tinamou, a fitting name for one of the smallest members of the family.
