Marail Guan

Penelope marail

Least Concern

The Marail Guan is an arboreal cracid of lowland forests of the Guianas, southern Venezuela, and northern Brazil. It usually keeps to forest canopy and edges, feeding heavily on fruit and helping move seeds through tropical and subtropical forests. It remains comparatively widespread, but healthy forest and woodland still matter for keeping local populations secure.
