Megapodius laperouse

Near Threatened

The Micronesian Megapode is an island scrubfowl of Palau and the Northern Mariana Islands. It uses forest, scrub, and small offshore islands, and some populations rely on geothermal heat for incubation. Fun fact: Like other megapodes, adults do not feed the chicks after hatching.
