The Moluccan Megapode is an Indonesian megapode of the Maluku Islands and Misool. It lives mainly in hill and mountain forest but travels to exposed beaches or volcanic soils to lay eggs. Fun fact: It is the only megapode known for routinely laying eggs at night.
