Pale-browed Tinamou

Crypturellus transfasciatus

Near Threatened

The Pale-browed Tinamou is a dry-forest species of western Ecuador and northwestern Peru. Its pale eyebrow and buffy grey-brown plumage help it blend into arid woodland and scrub. Fun fact: Its voice helped expose a fake political video in 2021 because the species does not occur where the video claimed to be filmed.
