Red-faced Guan

Penelope dabbenei

Least Concern

The Red-faced Guan is an arboreal cracid of Yungas and montane forest of Bolivia and northwestern Argentina. It usually keeps to forest canopy and edges, feeding heavily on fruit and helping move seeds through tropical and subtropical forests. It remains comparatively widespread, but healthy forest and woodland still matter for keeping local populations secure.
