The Red-legged Brushturkey, or Collared Brushturkey, is a forest megapode of northern New Guinea. It lives in moist lowland and montane forest, walking quietly through dense understory. Fun fact: Megapode chicks hatch fully feathered and independent, one of the most advanced hatchling strategies among birds.
