The Slaty-breasted Tinamou is a forest tinamou of Mexico and Central America, living in humid lowland forest and dense secondary growth. Its slaty breast, dark upperparts, and red legs are distinctive when seen well. Fun fact: It may hybridize with the Thicket Tinamou where their ranges meet.
