Spix's Guan

Penelope jacquacu

Least Concern

The Spix's Guan is an arboreal cracid of Amazonian forests of northern South America. It usually keeps to forest canopy and edges, feeding heavily on fruit and helping move seeds through tropical and subtropical forests. It remains comparatively widespread, but healthy forest and woodland still matter for keeping local populations secure.
