White-throated Piping-Guan

Pipile grayi

Near Threatened

The White-throated Piping-Guan is an arboreal cracid of southwestern Amazonia in eastern Peru, northern Bolivia, and western Brazil. It usually keeps to forest canopy and edges, feeding heavily on fruit and helping move seeds through tropical and subtropical forests. Although still present across parts of its range, habitat loss and hunting pressure mean its populations need close watching.
