Yellow-knobbed Curassow

Crax daubentoni

Near Threatened

The Yellow-knobbed Curassow is a large, mostly forest-dwelling cracid of seasonal forests and savannas of northern Colombia, Venezuela, and the Guianas. It spends much of its time walking quietly on the forest floor, where it feeds on fallen fruit, seeds, and small invertebrates. Although still present across parts of its range, habitat loss and hunting pressure mean its populations need close watching.
