The Yungas Guan is an arboreal cracid of Yungas forests of southwestern Bolivia and northwestern Argentina. It usually keeps to forest canopy and edges, feeding heavily on fruit and helping move seeds through tropical and subtropical forests. Because it has not been separately assessed by IUCN, its exact conservation risk is still being clarified.
